Grand Canyon Youth Program Grand Canyon Youth Logo The Grand Canyon Monitoring and Research Center supports science education for young people through its partnership with Grand Canyon Youth, a Flagstaff-based nonprofit organization. Grand Canyon Youth gives youth (ages 12–19) an experiential education along the rivers and canyons of the Southwest in an effort to promote environmental awareness, community involvement, personal growth, and teamwork among people with diverse backgrounds. Through Partners in Science, a joint effort between the GCMRC and Grand Canyon Youth, participants have the opportunity to learn from geologists, hydrologists, biologists, surveyors and others to understand the complexity surrounding the study of the Colorado River ecosystem.
